People who suffer from acne, or in other words, acne, may need to reconsider their eating habits. As the endocrinologist Zukhra Pavlova stated, some foods can affect the formation of acne, and if possible they should be excluded or severely limited in your diet.

According to the expert, the higher the blood sugar, the higher the insulin. It, in turn, pulls up the level of insulin-like growth factor (IGF-1). And this hormone causes the level of dihydrotestosterone, or DHT, to rise. At the same time, it is the high level of DHT that changes the composition of skin lipids, as well as the differentiation of keratinocytes, that is, it disrupts the natural change of skin cells. As a result, hyperkeratosis develops, Pavlova explained.

Thus, all the conditions for acne are created.

So, among the products that can often cause acne is ice cream loved by many.

“People with acne were four times more likely to consume milk or ice cream than people without acne,” the doctor said. – Of course, it’s not just about ice cream: for girls and women, the condition of the skin is seriously affected by the days of the cycle. But, alas, for the duration of treatment, sweet dairy products will definitely have to be abandoned. At the same time, she pointed out that after treatment for such people, “milk” should be used with caution.

You should also exclude chocolate and any sweets; alcohol; fatty food; roast; very spicy and vinegar-containing dishes.

According to Pavlova, with acne, one nutritional correction is not enough – hormone therapy will be required. But nevertheless, already abandoning the listed products, you can achieve a serious improvement in skin condition.
