The Tula Regional Court imposed an additional sentence on Alexei Moskalev, who was sentenced to two years in prison for discrediting the Russian army. According to the press service of the regional judiciary in the Telegram channel, the man, in particular, is prohibited from engaging in activities related to the administration of websites, forums, chats and groups on social networks for two years.
At the end of March, the Efremov Interdistrict Court of the Tula Region sentenced Moskalev to two years in a penal colony for discrediting the Russian army. Moskalev, who had not previously admitted his guilt, fled in anticipation of the verdict. Later he was detained in Belarus.
As stated in the indictment, Moskalev posted on social networks “records in the form of text and graphic publications that discredit the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation.” Criminal liability has come for him, since less than a year has passed since the last case, when he was involved in an administrative procedure with a similar composition.
According to the unified press service of the judicial system of the Tula region, the verdict of the Efremov interdistrict court of the Tula region dated March 28, 2023 was changed. So, the descriptive and motivational part of the verdict was supplemented with an indication of the presence in the actions of Moskalev of an aggravating circumstance – the commission of a crime in an armed conflict. Also excluded from the descriptive and motivational part of the verdict was a reference to the evidence – a CD with the results of operational-search activities.
The operative part of the verdict was supplemented by an indication that Moskalev was given an additional punishment in the form of deprivation of the right to engage in activities related to the administration of websites, forums, chats and groups on social networks for a period of 2 years.
