President Guillermo Lasso renewed this Monday for 30 days plus the state of exception due to serious internal commotion in all detention centers, which allows the Armed Forces to collaborate in the control of prisons under the parameters of the Constitutional Court .
In this context, on the morning of Monday 29, a group of soldiers discovered that four women had spent the night inside the Zonal 8 Deprivation of Liberty Center, known as the Regional prison, where the gang leaders are.
In a report, the military indicated that the women left the jail at 1:05 p.m. and were going to a black truck, but they noted that they had not been seen entering the jail on that shift.

The soldiers had been at the sentry box since 07:00 on Monday and they did not see them enter, which seemed suspicious to them.
Upon reviewing the log, the military discovered that the four suspects entered jail on Sunday morning; more than 24 hours later, they came out.
After inspecting the vehicle where the women were intended to go, the uniformed men found $ 15,000 in cash.
The Police took procedure and the women were transferred to the Prosecutor’s Office along with the evidence.
It is not the first time that such a situation has occurred.
