The head of the US Central Intelligence Agency, William Burns, came to Kyiv on a secret visit. He discussed with the Ukrainian leadership Kyiv’s “ambitious strategy” regarding the conflict with the Russian Federation, The Washington Post writes, citing officials familiar with the visit.
According to the publication, Burns met with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and top Ukrainian intelligence officials. They discussed intelligence sharing. The newspaper writes that Ukrainian officials revealed Kyiv’s plans to the head of the CIA. Thus, the leadership of Ukraine hopes to return a “significant part” of the territories by autumn, to place artillery near the borders of Crimea, and by the end of this year to begin negotiations on a ceasefire with Moscow. At the same time, Kyiv considers the ideal scenario in which the Ukrainian troops “will receive leverage on Russia by pushing troops and powerful weapons to the border of Ukraine with Crimea.” The media claims that Kyiv allegedly wants to take the peninsula “hostage”.
The publication notes that this is not the first visit of Burns to Kyiv during the NWO. The head of the CIA visited Ukraine last November and this January.
It should be noted that Moscow has repeatedly declared its readiness for negotiations. At the same time, Kiev called the withdrawal of Russian troops from the territory of Ukraine a condition for starting a dialogue with Moscow. The Russian Federation said that there could be no negotiations until Kyiv recognizes “today’s realities” with the DPR, LPR, Zaporozhye and Kherson regions as part of Russia.
