An original 2007 iPhone with 4 GB of internal memory in intact factory packaging is up for auction at LCG Auctions, writes Apple Insider. The cost of the lot is $100,000 (about 8.8 million rubles).
As the portal notes, such “apple” devices are the cherished dream of a collector. The lot gained additional attractiveness due to the integrity of the original box. In addition, this is the first original iPhone put up for sale in many months.
“Based on our recent record sales and the fact that the 4GB model is probably 20 times rarer than the 8GB version, we wouldn’t be surprised if it sets a new selling price record,” said Mark Montero, founder of LCG Auctions. .
In 2007, the first generation iPhone was sold in two versions: 4 GB ($499) and 8 GB ($599) of memory. The second one proved more popular, and Apple discontinued the model with less memory after a few months. As a result, this lot can be called the rarest of the first generation iPhone models.
