Madonna is known to be a perfectionist when it comes to her performances, and this time was no different as she spared no effort or expense for her 40th anniversary tour.

However, the singer was forced to postpone it after she was “rushed to hospital on Saturday and intubated after being passed out” due to a “serious bacterial infection”, her manager Guy Oseary announced on Instagram.

And that is that Madonna, at the age of 64, continues to risk everything to perform in front of millions of fans, even sacrificing her health, as her cousin told The Sun.

Madonna pushes her body to its limits, and this is reflected in her demanding tour schedule, which has stretched from 40 concerts to a total of 80 performances.

It shows that the “Material Girl” singer isn’t looking to slow down, as was the case on her 2012 MDNA tour, where she revealed that she didn’t sleep and that her entire staff gathered for prayer before each concert. “50% of the time I was begging them and 49% I was crying, usually from exhaustion.”

Not counting physical activity on stage, Madonna normally exercises a total of six times a week for five hours, the Daily Mail reported.

It was her trainer, Craig Smith, who revealed to this media that she integrates circuit, interval and resistance exercises into her routine, to which she adds weight training of 20 or 30 repetitions.

And to maintain her “dancer” figure, Smith said the Queen of Pop also has a strict diet of three main meals with three small snacks, which usually include juices, protein bars, fruits, vegetables and grains.
