The signing ceremony of the treaties on the accession of new territories to the Russian Federation will take place on Friday, September 30, at 15:00 in the Kremlin. This was announced by the press secretary of the President of Russia Dmitry Peskov.
According to him, agreements will be signed with all four territories where the referendums were held.
“All four, all the territories that held referendums and made a corresponding request to the Russian side,” the Kremlin spokesman explained.
Also, a “voluminous speech” by the head of state Vladimir Putin is expected.
“This is not a message from the President to the Federal Assembly, it is very important not to confuse. This is a different format, the President’s message will take place later, we will inform about it in a timely manner,” Peskov stressed.
He added that Putin will meet in the Kremlin with the heads of the Donetsk and Lugansk People’s Republics, as well as the Zaporozhye and Kherson regions.
The fact that the heads of the DPR, LPR and the leadership of the Kherson and Zaporozhye regions are scheduled to meet with Putin was also reported by the deputy head of the pro-Russian administration of the Kherson region Kirill Stremousov.
“A meeting with the president is, of course, planned… A lot depends on these meetings, and I think we will already leave here as full-fledged constituent entities of the Russian Federation,” he said on the air of Solovyov Live.
