In the southern regions of Russia, additional security measures are being introduced.

Thus, the authorities of the Lipetsk region called on the inhabitants of the region to refuse to travel to the south, including to the Voronezh region, Governor Igor Artamonov said in Telegram. Residents are advised not to drive south, in particular to the Voronezh region.

The head of the region clarified that following the meeting of the operational headquarters, a decision was made to strengthen security measures in the region. Particular attention will be paid to critical infrastructure facilities.

At the same time, the government of the Voronezh region asked residents not to use the M-4 Don highway due to the movement of military equipment. “A convoy of military equipment is moving along the M-4 Don federal highway. We ask all residents of the Voronezh region to temporarily not use the M-4 Don federal highway and individual vehicles, ”the government of the Voronezh region said in a Telegram message.

Earlier, residents of the Rostov region were asked to refrain from traveling to the center of Rostov-on-Don and not to leave their homes if possible. The appeal was made by the head of the region Vasily Golubev in the Telegram channel. He said that in Rostov-on-Don all mass events planned for the weekend were cancelled. There are also temporary restrictions on traffic in Taganrog and in the northern direction of the city. Earlier, Golubev urged all citizens to remain calm and not leave their homes unnecessarily. He stressed that law enforcement agencies “are doing everything necessary to ensure security” in the region. The governor said he was keeping the situation in the region under control.

Earlier, information about the introduction of a curfew also appeared in the media, but the regional Ministry of Emergency Situations called this data a fake.

Officials do not report what is happening in Rostov-on-Don.

On the eve of the Center for Public Relations of the Federal Security Service reported that all the widespread data in social networks on behalf of Yevgeny Prigozhin about the “strikes of the Ministry of Defense” on the rear camps of the Wagner group are untrue. The FSB of Russia opened a criminal case.
