In 2018, the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs put on the wanted list the banker Stanislav Mitrushin, the son of the owner of Sovetsky Bank and the former chairman of the board of directors of the organization. He is suspected of fraud on an especially large scale (Article 159 Part 4 of the Criminal Code). The Mash Telegram channel writes that it was Mitrushin who was detained in Cyprus.
The Russian was detained in the village of Trikomo in the territory of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus. The Russian arrived there for the first time in 2015, left in 2018 and returned again on a fake Albanian passport in the same year. From that moment he lived in the TRNC, received a residence permit there and bought a property.
During searches, the detainee was found to have two computers, five mobile phones and several USB drives, over $120,000 and £150,000 in cash. On Friday, June 23, a trial will be held against the detainee.
