The Frunzensky District Court of Yaroslavl sentenced Nikolay Kolyad and Arina Gulyaeva to three years of suspended imprisonment for illegal banking activities, the press service of the Federal Security Service for the Yaroslavl region reports. According to a RIA Novosti source, the convicts collaborated with blogger Elena Blinovskaya, who is accused of tax evasion.
Kolyada and Gulyaeva were found guilty under Part 2 of Art. 172 of the Criminal Code. The FSB clarified that they had created a platform for cashing out money, which included more than 50 “front companies and nominal individual entrepreneurs.” The total turnover of the “illegal bank” amounted to at least 286 million rubles, and the amount of income received was at least 18 million.
Blinovskaya is from Yaroslavl. The blogger is the author of the “Marathon of Desires”, a course of lectures and practical exercises on personal growth, she has more than 5 million subscribers in social networks. Blinovskaya was detained in April when she tried to cross the border with Belarus. According to the UK, from 2019 to 2021 she did not pay taxes in the amount of more than 918 million rubles. The investigation believes that she divided her business into many parts in order to pay taxes under a simplified system.
