The State Duma Committee on State Construction and Legislation supported the amendments to the bill, exempting from criminal liability those who signed a contract with the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation during mobilization or martial law. It is reported by TASS.
According to the document, those who signed contracts with the RF Ministry of Defense during mobilization or martial law will be exempted from criminal liability for crimes of small and medium gravity.
Recall that the relevant bill was submitted to the State Duma on June 13, and on June 14 the chamber adopted the draft in the first reading.
By the second reading, the profile Duma Committee supported the amendments that determined the list of articles of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation, which indicate crimes that are not covered by the guarantees provided for by law. So, for example, those convicted of committing a terrorist attack, public calls for a terrorist attack or propaganda of terrorism will not be released from liability. Also, this will not affect those convicted of espionage, hostage-taking, rape of minors.
