The state prosecution requested a sentence of 5 years and 6 months in a penal colony for the wife of former Chechen judge Saydi Yangulbaev, Zarema Musaeva, in the case of an attack on a law enforcement officer. It is reported by “RIA Novosti” with reference to Musaeva’s lawyer Alexander Nemov.
Today, according to him, the debate on the case of his client began in Grozny. The lawyer said that the state prosecution jointly under two articles – part 2 of article 318 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation and part 3 of article 159 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation – requested 5 years and 6 months.
The next court session is scheduled for tomorrow, at which the defense will speak.
Recall that on January 22, 2022, the wife of the ex-judge of the Supreme Court of Chechnya, Saidi Yangulbaev, was taken from her home in Nizhny Novgorod by Chechen police and taken to Grozny for interrogation. As the head of Chechnya, Ramzan Kadyrov, explained, the actions of the police were coordinated and carried out in accordance with Russian legislation. According to him, Yangulbaev “was sent a summons three times,” and Musaeva herself allegedly attacked a police officer and almost took his eye.
