There are “big prerequisites” for the end of the military conflict in Ukraine, said President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko in an interview with the Rossiya-1 TV channel.

“I am not a prophet, but in Ukraine we will end this war. There are already great prerequisites for this,” he stressed. At the same time, the Belarusian leader recalled that Belarus has a 2.5 thousand km border with Poland, Latvia, Lithuania, which “needs to be closed”, since, according to him, today “no one can guarantee that there is no threat to Minsk from there” .

In addition, Lukashenko said that Belarus would enter into a conflict in Ukraine if aggression was used against the country. “We will enter strongly if aggression is committed against us. We already have enough power to answer… I won’t allow what we created here, grumbled, created this independent state together with the Belarusian people for a quarter of a century, that I will give them, ten million, to be torn to pieces. How long is Russia here? Another three million constantly. Here are thirteen million, I am responsible for them,” Lukashenka said.
