SK opened a criminal case after the collapse of the tribune of the circus in the Leningrad region

Investigators opened a criminal case after the collapse of the platform of a traveling circus in the Leningrad region, its director was detained. This is stated in the press service of the regional investigative department.

The case was initiated under paragraph “b” part 2 of Art. 238 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation.

The incident occurred on Saturday in the village of Leskolovo, Vsevolozhsk district, Leningrad region. The regional department of the Ministry of Emergency Situations reported that approximately 120 people were evacuated from the big top.

According to the government of the Leningrad region, seven victims were admitted to the Toksovo hospital for examination, five of them were minors. The condition of all the victims is satisfactory.

As clarified in the SUSK in the Leningrad region, about 150 spectators were present at the performance of the circus-tent “Malibu” in Leskolovo. During the collapse of the rostrum, according to the investigation, two children born in 2015 and 2017 were injured.
