The list of vital and essential medicines has been replenished with new dosage forms. It includes drugs for the treatment of children with severe and chronic diseases, the corresponding order was signed by Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin.
“The updated list includes additional dosage forms for four medicines. In particular, for the drug glecaprevir + pibrentasvir, coated granules have been added. This medicine is used as an antiviral therapy for children with chronic hepatitis C,” the message on the website of the Cabinet of Ministers says.
In addition, a new dosage form – dispersible tablets – has been added for the drug sapropterin, which is prescribed for the treatment of adults and children suffering from phenylketonuria.
Sublingual tablets have also been added for the anesthetic drug Prosidol, and film-coated tablets for the immunosuppressant pirfenidone. This dosage form was developed in Russia and registered at the end of 2022.
Prices for medicines from this list are regulated by the state. Such drugs are used in the treatment of patients under the program of state guarantees of free provision of medical care to citizens. In total, the list includes more than 800 medicines.
