With music and dance the festivities began for the 487 years of the founding of Quito

Hundreds of spectators witnessed the show of 16 national artists during the proclamation that took place in the Plaza de San Francisco, in the historic center.

The singer Juanita Burbano and the Cumbiancheros orchestra put hundreds of people to dance who gathered in the Plaza de San Francisco, in the historic center, to enjoy the proclamation of parties for the 487 years of the founding of Quito. With this event, which started at 7:00 p.m. on November 26, the festivities schedule to celebrate the capital officially begins.

The emblematic San Francisco church lit up with a play of lights that on the facade projected the word Quito. No matter the cold or the rain, the attendees enthusiastically applauded the 16 national artists who performed on stage. The event was conducted by the radio host, Karol Noboa.

The show had the participation of the Yavirac group, the Municipal Band, Pancho Terán, Karla Kanora, the National Folkloric Ballet, Carlos Grijalva, Martha Psyko, the Chamber Orchestra conducted by maestro Jorge Oviedo. The Marujas They took care of the theatrical show.

Among the audience were the Mayor Santiago Guarderas, councilors, as well as the Queen of Quito Estefanía Álvarez, and its court made up of Dominique Quiroga, viceroy; Doménica Alessi, Miss Sympathy; and Louiza Eid Vázquez, Miss Friendship and Fellowship.

To access the event, people had to wear masks all the time. However, in the video of the show that the Municipality broadcast live on social networks, several citizens were observed dancing and singing with their faces uncovered.
