Ukraine has nothing to do with the battles in the Belgorod region and is not involved in the attacks on the Nord Streams. This was stated by President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky in an interview with Die Welt and Politico.
“We are not fighting on foreign territory. We liberate only our own,” Zelensky stressed, speaking about the battles in the Belgorod region.
He also rejected information about Ukraine’s involvement in attacks on Server Streams. “I am the president, and I give the appropriate orders. Ukraine did nothing of the kind. I would never have done that,” Zelensky said, commenting on reports circulated by The Washington Post that US intelligence agencies allegedly knew about Ukraine’s plans to attack gas pipelines three months before the incident.
Zelensky also called on Western journalists to first provide real evidence, and then accuse the Ukrainian military of sabotage in the EU.
Recall that explosions at Nord Stream and Nord Stream 2 occurred at the end of September 2022: leaks were found on two SP-1 pipes and one SP-2 pipe. The Russian authorities are accused of involvement in the explosions of the United States and Great Britain. London and Washington exclude involvement in the explosions. Incidents are being investigated by Germany, Sweden and Denmark, where explosions occurred in international waters. Moscow is “not allowed” to participate in the investigation, the Russian Foreign Ministry claims.
