Life is full of partings and reunions, bitter disappointments and sweet emotions, causation disguised as coincidence and surprising twists of fate that change our path. There are also moments when we will come to the question of why our previous relationships did not work, despite the love, attention, and sometimes many years of our lives we gave them? We wander this unanswered question until we meet the right people. Someone who comes to erase our painful memory to create loving memories.

However, it is necessary to understand that several people who pass through our lives have a mission to provide us with learning, and this includes recognizing the moment to let them go. We should never hold on because that always involves insecurities, nor is it okay to hold on to anger that only hurts. Fito Páez, in one of his most famous songs, which is the name of this column, says: “No one can and no one should live, live, without love.” I think so, even though it sounds silly. Love is the fundamental engine that allows us to move forward when we feel the world weighing us down. In addition, the priority is to believe that love exists after love. Namely, after breaking up a relationship in which we invested effort and sacrifice or one in which we evolved professionally, intellectually or emotionally thanks to their support, we think that someone will never appear who will overcome those emotions or experiences, mistakenly believe that this person has left unattainable stick, but it’s fake. Life always has someone waiting for us and he will arrive in a kind of irony, just at the moment when our self-love is healthy and we stop looking for happiness in lack, to decide to care for the person in the mirror.

As a result, we live believing in the wisdom of perfect timing and being grateful for the moment we have…

I hereby dedicate this column to a life that laughs at us and that can make us search for happiness for many years, dream of love or go through various experiences that end in resounding failures, until the moment when we give up, take away the veil from our eyes and we can see who has always been very close, only it wasn’t time before. Let’s remember that no matter how hard we try to shake the hourglass, things will always happen at the right time so that we can appreciate what comes into our lives. Julio Iglesias sang: “Someone, I know that someone will cross my path, someone, who will emerge as a light or as a cry… someone, with whom one loves and wants the same things; someone, with whom we gladly share the same air…” and that someone always arrives and exists, we just have to take care of ourselves, arrange our hearts, so that we can give ourselves a chance from our peace.

As a result, we live believing in the wisdom of perfect timing and being grateful for the moment we have, as the poet Carlos Pellicer said: “I put a little sign on my chest that said, ‘Closed for demolition.’ And here I am, painting the walls, opening the windows, decorating the table with the yellow flower with which autumn pays its charms”.
