Moscow has notified the Joint Coordinating Center of the restriction of registration of vessels in the port of Yuzhny due to the lack of Russian exports of ammonia. This was stated by the official representative of the UN Secretary General Stephane Dujarric.

He stressed that the international organization is concerned about the slowdown in the implementation of the Black Sea “grain deal”.

Dujjarik said that cooperation on the full resumption of operations and the implementation of the initiative will continue. The UN expects that the parties will undertake obligations to allow ships to enter all three ports without preconditions.

In the summer of 2022, representatives of Russia, Ukraine, Turkey and the UN signed a package of documents that prescribe an algorithm for the export of Ukrainian agricultural products from the Black Sea ports and provide for the removal of restrictions on the export of Russian food and fertilizers to world markets. The Russian side has repeatedly pointed out that Ukrainian grain is sent primarily to Europe, and not to needy African countries, and the deal does not work for Russian products.

In May, the Foreign Ministry said that the deal was extended without changes until July 17, but warned that if five problems regarding the Russia-UN memorandum were not resolved in two months, the agreement would be terminated.
