From June 1, Poland introduces a ban on the entry of trucks registered in Belarus and Russia from the Belarusian territory. This was reported by Interfax with reference to the Polish Ministry of the Interior.
“Poland from June 1 will suspend freight traffic for trucks and trailers registered in Russia and Belarus, trying to cross the border with Belarus,” Bloomberg quoted excerpts from a statement from the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
On Monday, Warsaw also imposed sanctions against 365 Belarusian individuals.
Earlier, the State Duma proposed to the Russian government to ban the passage of Polish road carriers in Russia. At the same time, it is proposed to allow “the movement of Polish vehicles from the state border of the Russian Federation to the nearest customs terminals in order to recoup trailers or semi-trailers or reload goods onto the transport of Russian carriers.”
In addition, the deputies propose to the government of the Russian Federation to exclude the possibility of refueling cars of Polish carriers with fuel at Russian prices, setting the cost of fuel for them at the level of prices of the European Union.
