The police organized a check on the fact of a panther attack on a seven-year-old girl at one of the eco-farms in the Volgograd region. This is reported by TASS with reference to the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for the region.
“No applications have been received. Information came through the hospital about seeking medical help, ”the press service of the regional head office of the Ministry of Internal Affairs said, noting that the police had organized an inspection.
The health committee of the Volgograd region reported that after the provision of medical care, the child was sent for outpatient treatment.
The investigative department of the Investigative Committee for the Volgograd Region is also conducting its own check on information about the attack of an animal on a first-grader. As explained in the press service of the department, a legal assessment of the legality of the functioning of the zoo on the territory of the recreation center will be given. “According to preliminary data, the minor came too close to the cage with the animal, as a result of which the panther inflicted damage with its claws in the area of the child’s head,” the press service of the investigative department said.
