Erdogan thanked the citizens for choosing him to rule the country for the next five years.
According to the latest data, Erdogan is gaining 52.21% of the votes in the second round of presidential elections after processing about 99% of the ballots. Such data of the CEC is provided by the Anadolu agency. Erdogan’s rival, Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu, receives 47.79% of the vote. According to the agency, about 600,000 votes remain unprocessed.
Emir of Qatar Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani was one of the first to congratulate the incumbent Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan on his victory in the presidential election. He was also congratulated by the head of the Government of National Unity of Libya Abdelhamid Dbeiba, Prime Minister of Hungary Viktor Orban, President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev, President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev.
