Highly processed foods are considered unhealthy. According to the MedikForum portal, a study has shown that those who consume it in large quantities have an increased risk of developing cancer.

According to oncologist Andrei Vorobyov, the negative impact of highly processed foods is, in fact, the impact of soft drinks and juices that are consumed with them.

It is noted that the growing consumption of sugary drinks contributes to the spread of obesity around the world, and this, in turn, increases the risk of many types of cancer.

The portal indicates that increased body fat mass is the cause of many types of cancer: mouth, throat and larynx, esophagus, stomach, pancreas, gallbladder, liver, colon, breast (postmenopausal), ovary, endometrium, prostate and kidney . Processed foods are also recommended to be excluded from the diet.

Vorobyov, in particular, advised to adhere to proper nutrition. Lots of whole grains, vegetables, fruits and legumes should form the basis of your daily diet. Scientists recommend 400 grams of fruits and vegetables and at least 30 grams of dietary fiber.

It is also recommended to reduce the amount of consumption of fast food and convenience foods and not to abuse red meat. So, red meat should be limited to about three servings per week. This corresponds to 350 to a maximum of 500 g.

The expert also strongly recommended avoiding carbonated and sweetened drinks and abstaining from alcohol.
