If Kyiv receives nuclear weapons from the West, then Russia will have to launch a preemptive strike, Deputy Chairman of the Security Council Dmitry Medvedev told reporters during a visit to Vietnam.
“There are irreversible laws of war. If it comes to [поставок Украине] nuclear weapons, it will be necessary to deliver a preemptive strike, ”TASS quoted Medvedev as saying.
According to him, the West “does not realize the possibility” of such a development of events, but it “will come to this under certain conditions.” If Ukraine is given nuclear weapons, “then it will mean that a missile with a nuclear charge will arrive at them,” Medvedev added, without specifying where exactly the “arrival” would be.
The Deputy Chairman of the Security Council also expressed the opinion that Europe “has gone crazy” and is trying to “inflame” the situation with its decisions. The United States, in his opinion, “acts in line with its pragmatic interests” and makes money on the situation, while trying to “destroy the centuries-old enemy.”
At the same time, Medvedev suggested that the conflict in Ukraine “could drag on for decades” if the “Nazi nature of the power of the current Kyiv regime” is not destroyed. According to him, “this is a new reality, new living conditions,” TASS reports. “There will be three years of truce, two years of conflict, and everything will happen again,” he added.
