One of the founders of the rock group “Aria” Valery Kipelov received the title of Honored Artist of Russia. According to RBC, President Vladimir Putin appropriated it to the musician by his decree.
Kipelov was born in 1958 in Moscow. He was a soloist and one of the founders of the Aria group, founded in 1985. In 2002, the musician left Aria and created his own group, Kipelov. Before Aria, Kipelov participated in various projects, including the Six Young Ensemble, where he performed together with the current leader of the Lyube group, Nikolai Rastorguev.

In July 2022, he spoke in the hospital to the soldiers of the Russian Guard, who were wounded during the hostilities in Ukraine. On May 6 of this year, the Kipelov group held a festive concert for the military personnel of the military group in Syria.
