The United States does not encourage Ukrainian strikes on Russian territory, but still leaves Kiev the right to make decisions. This statement was made today by the official representative of the State Department Matthew Miller, commenting on the attack of the Ukrainian sabotage and reconnaissance group in the territory of the Belgorod region.
He added that the State Department is aware of reports of the use of American weapons by members of the DRG, but Washington is “skeptical” about the objectivity of this information.
Miller also pointed out that the American side does not have detailed information about who exactly is behind the attack on the Russian region.
Recall, the day before, a Ukrainian sabotage and reconnaissance group entered the territory of the Graivoronsky district of the Belgorod region. As a result, several civilians were injured, one civilian was killed – a man from the village of Kozinka.
Today, the Russian Defense Ministry announced that a group of saboteurs that invaded the Belgorod Region had been defeated.
