In the St. Petersburg art space mArs (Marsovo Pole, 3) on Friday, May 26, at 19:00, a regular meeting of the Discussion Club of Daniil Kotsiubinsky “Why is everything wrong?” will take place. The meeting will be devoted to a topic that is relevant for all generations – children, parents (present and future), and even grandparents: “Which school is more useful for a child – private or public?”
Representatives of two competing educational spaces will take part in the discussion: Grigory Samuilovich Konnikov, history teacher at the private non-formal education school “Orange”, and Elmira Zyakievna Mamleeva, teacher of history and social science, head of the methodological association of teachers of history and social science, GBOU secondary school No. 176 of the Kalinin district of St. Petersburg.
What is better – when there are a lot of children in the class and school, when the content of the lessons is standardized, when all students are dressed in the same uniform and free breakfasts are equally available to everyone and teachers who, however, just a little, easily give twos or threes?
Or is it better when the classes are small, the teachers are sincere, the grades are inspiring, the approach to students is purely individual and positive (even for very difficult students) and when kind parents pay for all this?
The meeting will be of interest to everyone who has or will have children, as well as everyone who just loves children and wants them all to be happy!
Tickets can be purchased on TimePad or at the box office before the event.
