In the document of the Central Research Institute of Organization and Informatization of Healthcare, doctors were urged to speak “in an understandable language” when communicating with patients, as well as to use “short memorable sentences.” The relevant recommendations are reported by the medical publication Vademecum.

According to the document, physicians are the main source of information about health, in this regard, it was recommended to strengthen their “skills of understandable presentation of information”. Thus, physicians should not “put the patient below themselves” and should avoid “mentoring tone”.

It is noted that it is worth teaching interaction skills not only to medical personnel, but also to all employees of the organization: from managers to office cleaners, the authors of the recommendations pointed out.

The publication recalls that in December 2022, TsNIIOIZ published guidelines for making an appointment with a doctor. Then, in particular, a list of provocative phrases was compiled that call center operators should avoid.
