The Russian Investigative Committee has indicted prosecutor Karin Ahmad Khan and Judge Rosario Salvatore Aitala of the International Criminal Court in absentia. This is stated in the release of the department.

The press service of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation recalled that these persons are responsible for issuing an arrest warrant to Russian President Vladimir Putin and the children’s rights commissioner under President Maria Lvova-Belova.

Sufficient evidence has now been collected by the investigation, on the basis of which decisions were made to indict in absentia the ICC Prosecutor Khan Karim Asad Ahmad and the ICC Judge Rosario Salvatore Aytale.

The Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation clarified that the actions of the prosecutor were qualified by the investigation under Part 2 of Art. 299, part 1 of Art. 30, part 2, art. 360 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation, and the actions of the judge – under Part 2 of Art. 301, part 1 of Art. 30, part 2, art. 360 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation.
