A radioactive cloud is moving towards Europe, which appeared as a result of the destruction of ammunition with depleted uranium supplied by the West to Ukraine. According to Interfax, this was stated at a meeting in Syktyvkar by Secretary of the Russian Security Council Nikolai Patrushev.

“(USA) also ‘helped’ Ukraine — they put pressure on their satellites and supplied ammunition with depleted uranium. Their destruction led to the fact that the radioactive cloud headed towards Western Europe. And in Poland, an increase in radiation has already been recorded, ”he said.

According to him, in addition, the United States uses chemical and biological weapons, including on the territory of Ukraine.

Patrushev also said that at the G7 summit in Japan, where US President Joe Biden arrived the day before, “the heads of Western countries, under US pressure, will also discuss assistance to Ukraine.”

In April, British Undersecretary of Defense James Hippie said that several thousand shells for Challenger 2 tanks had been transferred to Ukraine, and some of these shells contain depleted uranium. Moscow has repeatedly opposed London’s plans to transfer depleted uranium shells to Kyiv and promised an adequate response to such deliveries.

At the end of March, IAEA Director General Rafael Grossi told reporters that depleted uranium shells do not pose a radiological hazard.
