In total 17, between groups and artists will perform at the beginning of the festivities for the foundation of the capital
This Friday, November 26, 2021, the Quito festivities proclamation for its 487 years of foundation. The event will be in the Plaza San Francisco, from 7:00 p.m.
The start of the festivities in the capital will be divided into four blocks in which they will be presented musical groups and artists, ballet, theater and a mapping reproduction.
This is how the blocks are divided:
It will last approximately 30 minutes: Ñucanchi Allpa National Folkloric Ballet and the Chamber Orchestra will participate, with 20 musicians.
Approximate duration of 55 minutes: they will be on stage, Pancho Terán, In Concerto, Karla Kanora and the Chamber Orchestra (20 musicians), Quito Eterno; also the casts of the Sucre National Theater Foundation (Grupo Yavirac and Octeto del Coro Mixto Ciudad de Quito).
At the end of this block, the mapping with music by Martha Psycho will be carried out.
Its duration will be 45 minutes. They will participate: Martha Psycho, ‘Las Marujas’ (theater), National Ballet of Ecuador and Carlos Grijalva.
The estimated time will be 1 hour 45 minutes, they will participate: Quito Eterno, Municipal Band, Band of Firefighters, Juanita Burbano and Los Cumbancheros.
Attendees must comply with the biosecurity measures.
These activities are carried out by the Metropolitan Institute of Heritage (IMP), this municipal entity reported that the program was structured from an artistic and musical direction that is inclusive.
Also, the mayor Santiago Guarderas pointed out that the events organized by the Municipality will be with investment in national artists, not international, as a measure to reactivate this sector economically. (I)
