More than 111,000 homes will have potable water with works that will be completed in 2022

The Ministry of Housing, Construction and Sanitation (MVCS) indicated that thanks to the 234 works that will be executed and will be completed in 2022, more than 111,000 homes will be able to have potable water service next year. This was reported to the plenary session of Congress by the head of the sector, Geiner Alvarado, when supporting the budget your industry for fiscal year 2022.

As explained by the official, investments in water and sanitation total 1,060 works, which have an allocation of 1,605 million 500 thousand soles in the public sector budget for next year. AND the completion of 234 of these works will benefit 422,000 inhabitants with potable water, both in urban and rural areas of the country. In addition, about 105,000 homes will have access to the sewerage service, which will improve the quality of life of more than 397,000 people.

Geiner Alvarado also reported that a budget of 806 million soles has been assigned so that 44,662 families have access to decent housing next year. Of that total, 539 million 300 thousand soles will be for the Bono Familiar Habitacional (BFH) of the program Own Roof, with which 21,988 low-income families will be able to purchase or build a home.

Likewise, 75 million soles have been budgeted for the Good Payer Bonus. With the allocation for this subsidy, 5,357 families will be able to acquire a property through the New Housing Credit.

In addition, 191 million 600 thousand soles have been allocated for the construction of 17,317 Sumaq Wasi bioclimatic houses, which will benefit families in rural areas living in poverty and extreme poverty that are affected by frost and cold. This investment will also generate some 35,000 jobs among the beneficiary population.
