Healthy weight loss is a fairly long process, while gaining weight is possible relatively quickly. Sometimes, in order to get in shape, you just need to rethink your lifestyle and get rid of the habits that make you gain weight.

Edition ETNT listed the habits that most often lead to weight gain.

Order rolls and sushi. Sushi itself is not too high in calories: rice, fish, nori leaf and cucumber – all this is unlikely to make you gain weight, if you know the measure. True, and for a long time to get enough of such food will not work. However, mayonnaise sauce, bacon, fatty cheese, smoked chicken, and other ingredients are often added to rolls. Moreover, it is more profitable to order such rolls in a huge set at once. If you’re used to ordering sushi and rolls every time you don’t feel like cooking, or even trying to cheer yourself up with this dish, then you may be in danger of gaining weight soon.

There are too few. Excessive calorie deficit is a classic mistake of many losing weight. In pursuit of a quick result, you can overdo it. Then, over time, your metabolism will slow down and your body will get used to burning fewer calories to make up for the deficit.

Don’t get enough sleep. Modern people are chronically short of time. Therefore, the temptation to go to bed later in order to have time to read or watch your favorite series is very great. However, sleep is much more important for our health than it seems at first glance. In addition, lack of sleep makes us eat more. People who sleep less than 7 hours a night, on average, overeat 385 kcal per day. This may well be enough to start gaining weight.

There are “useful” products without measure. You may think that you only get fat from fast food, chips and sweets, but in fact we gain weight due to a calorie surplus. In theory, you can create such a surplus with cucumbers if you eat too many of them. In practice, of course, you are unlikely to dine with a bucket of cucumbers, but food with healthy fats can eat extra pounds quite easily if you consume them without a sense of proportion. For example, nuts and avocados are very healthy, but quite high-calorie foods.

Eat some salads. Vegetables and fruits are very good for your health, but a salad of cucumbers and tomatoes alone is unlikely to fill you up for long. And in the end, there is a high risk of breaking into high-calorie snacks. Don’t forget to add some protein to your meals to help keep you feeling full for longer.

Skip meals. You may think that skipping breakfast, lunch, or dinner will help you cut down on your daily calorie intake. However, in reality, this trick is likely to make you very hungry and risk overeating at other meals. Therefore, it is better to eat in moderation throughout the day.
