In Ust-Ilimsk, Irkutsk region, a fire in a country house claimed the lives of four people. This was reported by Interfax with reference to the main department of the Ministry of Emergency Situations in the region.
“In the course of extinguishing the fire, firefighters inside the burning house found the dead: three adults and a child,” the report says.
Information about the burning country house and outbuildings on Narodnaya Street came from eyewitnesses around 03:00 (22:00 Moscow time). At the time of the arrival of firefighters, the wooden two-story house was completely engulfed in flames, a barn and a greenhouse were on fire. The total fire area was 60 square meters. m. The elimination of the fire and its consequences continued until the morning.
Investigators from the Ministry of Emergency Situations are working at the scene, establishing the cause of the fire.
The prosecutor’s office of the region reported that the supervisory authority is conducting an investigation into the fact of the fire with the dead.
In turn, the regional investigation department of the TFR reported that the death of people in a fire in the Kommunalshchik SNT is being investigated as part of a criminal case under Part 3 of Art. 109 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (causing death by negligence to two or more persons).
A seven-year-old girl was among the victims of the fire, officials said.
