Rospotrebnadzor experts reminded which foods should be included in the diet in order to maintain normal hemoglobin levels.
So, the experts in the first place put by-products of animal origin – the liver, kidneys, spleen.
“The amount of heme iron, which is absorbed more efficiently than the trace element from plant products, is sufficient. Pork liver is the most preferable, as a leader in iron content, ”experts noted.
Another source of iron is fish and seafood. According to experts, mollusks are especially useful – they help not only maintain, but also replenish the iron wasted by the body.
Also, Rospotrebnadzor specialists noted eggs, buckwheat, quinoa, peas, spinach, cauliflower, broccoli, seeds, nuts as a valuable source of trace elements. At the same time, doctors warned that the iron contained in plant products is absorbed much worse and in lower concentrations.
