Investigative journalist Khristo Grozev was included in the list of foreign agents

The Ministry of Justice of the Russian Federation on Friday, April 21, added to the register of foreign agents.

Thus, the list includes the Bellingcat investigative journalist (recognized as a foreign agent and undesirable organization in Russia – ed.) Hristo Grozev, journalist Natalya Sevets-Yermolina, oppositionist Elvira Vikhareva, as well as the autonomous non-profit human rights organization School of the Conscript and the journalistic project Lawyer Street.

According to the agency, Grozev spread fake news about “decisions made by public authorities and their policies,” and also participated in the creation of materials by foreign agents, as well as by a foreign NGO whose activities were recognized as undesirable in the territory of the Russian Federation.

Earlier today it was reported that the Lefortovo Court of Moscow, at the request of the investigation, arrested in absentia a citizen of Bulgaria Hristo Grozev. According to Interfax, in Russia he is accused of organizing an illegal border crossing. According to the court decision, a preventive measure was chosen for him in the form of detention for a period of two months from the moment of his extradition to the territory of the Russian Federation or from the moment of his detention on the territory of Russia.
