According to the Ministry of Education, in the capital of the Republic, the educational units are in good condition although some repairs must be made.

According to the national Emergency Operations Committee (COE), at the request of that State portfolio, students from the technical and rural baccalaureate are the ones that must first be incorporated into face-to-face activities, from this Monday, November 22.

Enrique Pérez García, Undersecretary of Education of the Quito Metropolitan District of the Ministry of Education, stated that it is mandatory that educational institutions schools open, but it is not mandatory yet for students to attend.

Pérez indicated that some establishments are already in classes, not with 100% return, but they are receiving students, although he did not specify a percentage.

With regard to infrastructure, for Pérez, in Quito the educational units are in good condition.

“From what I have gone through, that is, it is not true that you cannot return to classes, but there are spaces where, indeed, some repairs need to be done medium or small, and it will take time … ”, he indicated.

Remembered that are not mandatory neither the uniforms nor the texts when they returned to the classrooms, and invited parents to present their complaints.

In Quito, he stated, they have invested $ 386.000 in infrastructure improvement.
