The prosecutor’s office of St. Petersburg and Roszdravnadzor organized a verification of information about the death of seven orphans in the Psychoneurological Boarding School No. 10.
Information about the death of children was spread by the head of the multidisciplinary center for palliative care of the Moscow Health Department, Nyuta Federmesser.
On behalf of the Ministry of Health, Roszdravnadzor initiates an inspection of the provision of medical care in the institution, RIA Novosti reports.
Last night, Federmesser published on her Telegram channel a video message addressed to Speaker of the Federation Council Valentina Matvienko, Deputy Prime Minister Tatyana Golikova, Head of the Ministry of Health Mikhail Murashko, Commissioner for Children’s Rights under President Maria Lvova-Belova, and Chairperson of the Social Policy Committee of St. Petersburg Elena Fridrikova. In it, she called for “punishment of those responsible for the death of children” in PNI No. 10, where, according to her, seven children have recently died, the last case occurred on April 17.
The prosecutor’s office of St. Petersburg began its own verification of compliance by the employees of the institution with the requirements for the conditions of detention of wards, their social services, the timely provision of necessary assistance to them, etc. In case of violations, the issue of taking prosecutorial response measures will be immediately resolved.
