The military commissar of Moscow, Maxim Loktev, said that most often the problems with serving summons to conscripts are due to the fact that they do not live at the place of registration.
According to TASS, now the city authorities, together with the military registration and enlistment offices, are paying serious attention to this issue. “To determine the place of residence of a conscript, video surveillance systems in the city of Moscow are used; at the direction of the Mayor of Moscow, organizations in which conscripts work provide information about them to the military commissariats. Educational organizations help us determine where the conscript is studying, ”said Loktev.
According to him, as a result of the implementation of such a set of measures, conscripts will be able to be informed in a timely manner about the need to appear at the military registration and enlistment office. The military commissar of Moscow noted that the number of young people who evade military service is declining every year.
The military commissar also said that conscripts would not be sent for military service to the Donetsk and Luhansk People’s Republics, Kherson and Zaporozhye regions. According to him, 88% of Moscow conscripts will have to serve in the military units of the Western Military District. As Loktev noted, the draft commissions make a decision on sending a conscript to one or another army in accordance with his own wishes, as well as the requirements imposed there.
