Eduard Bagirov was 47 years old. The cause of death has not been reported.

Eduard Bagirov was born on October 25, 1975 in the city of Mary, Turkmenistan. In 1993 he moved to Moscow.

In 2001, he began publishing his stories on literary sites on the Internet. In 2007, the autobiographical debut novel “Gastarbeiter” was published. The work caused a public outcry and gained wide popularity.

In November 2008, Bagirov wrote his second novel, The Lovers, which continues the storyline of The Guest Worker.

In 2010, Bagirov founded a scriptwriting bureau, which debuted with the script for the full-length feature film Onegin. He is also the author of the script for the 2013 TV series Ashes and the upcoming film Beirut.

In 2015, Bagirov announced that he was working on a fourth novel under the working title “Russia-2045”.

In 2022, he became the host of the author’s program “Bagirov Against” on Radio Sputnik.

In the 2012 presidential election, Eduard Bagirov was a confidant of the presidential candidate Vladimir Putin. In 2016, he ran for the State Duma, but lost to Gennady Onishchenko. Then he decided to stop any public political activity.
