The United States imposed sanctions against Russian Deputy Prime Minister Marat Khusnullin and former Minister of Transport Yevgeny Dietrich. This was reported on the website of the US Treasury.
In addition, the “black list” includes Rusatom Overseas and the president of this company Evgeny Pakermanov, Metalloinvest, Megafon and other companies of the group of Alisher Usmanov and his USM partners (including his Russian holding structure).
Together with Metalloinvest, the SDN List also includes its production units (Mikhailovsky GOK, Lebedinsky GOK, OEMK). Restrictions also affected smaller USM structures – Ackermann Cement, YuEsM Gold, LLC Fedorovskoye.
Washington also added The Sister Trust, founded by Usmanov and his sister Gulbahor Ismailova, and Almenor, Klaret Aviation and Navis Marine, owned by The Sister Trust and registered in Cyprus, to the sanctions list. In addition, the sanctions list includes three more Cypriot companies, which, according to the report, belong to Usmanov: Windfel, Savoler, Miramonte.
Also included in the sanctions list is the son of Usmanov’s wife Irina Viner, Natan Viner, and his companies.
The US Treasury Department claims that Usmanov has at his disposal “a wide network of offshore enterprises”, and allegedly can conduct financial transactions through relatives, which potentially allows him to bypass sanctions.
Simultaneously with the UK, which also added individuals and companies associated with USM to the sanctions list on Wednesday, the US included Andrei Skoch’s father and daughter, Vladimir and Varvara Skoch, on the SDN List.
In total, 34 individuals and several dozen legal entities both from the Russian Federation and from other states fell under the new sanctions.
