The profile deletion function on the Gosuslug website is again available on the personal page, RBC writes. The ability to delete an account through the mobile app has also returned.
At the end of March, the option to delete a profile disappeared. The Ministry of Digital Finance explained this by “increased hacking of personal accounts.” The department claimed that the hacks were carried out using “social engineering techniques.” Before the return of the button to delete an account, this could only be done at the MFC.
On March 31, the Gosuslug support service stated that the reason for the disappearance of the possibility of deleting an account was “some error in the technical format.” The service noted that it is not clear when it will be possible to avoid this error and return the ability to delete the account.
The situation with the loss of a special button coincided with the statement of Rear Admiral Vladimir Tsimlyansky, representative of the Main Organizational and Mobilization Directorate of the General Staff of the Armed Forces, that during the spring draft, which starts on April 1, recruits will be notified electronically.
Recall, on the eve it was reported that electronic and paper summonses will have the same legal force.
