From January to March 2023, Russian workers received 57% more invitations to interview for work in other countries than in the same period last year, RBC writes, citing an analysis of the HeadHunter recruiting portal, which studied the responses of employers to resumes.
According to the portal, in the first three months of this year, almost 96,000 applicants received job offers abroad. We are talking about the location of the vacancy, while the company itself can be both foreign and Russian.
Interest in Russian workers has grown in almost all friendly countries, with the exception of China and India. Russians received many times more invitations from Indonesia, Serbia, Turkey, the United Arab Emirates, Mexico, and Kyrgyzstan. However, out of many states that have joined the sanctions, Russians have also become more likely to be called to work. In particular, they received three times more invitations from the USA than a year ago.
Interest in Russian applicants is formed mainly by companies that worked in Russia and changed jurisdiction after the introduction of tough sanctions, the agency notes. The cross-section of countries shows that Russians are more often invited to places where there are more comfortable conditions for doing business and obtaining visas and residence permits for foreign workers.
