After the war broke out in Ukraine, 7-year-old Amelia and her family found shelter in a bunker. The girl encouraged her companions by giving demonstrations of her vocal skills. One of the women staying in the shelter published a recording on the Internet in which the young singer performs the song “I have this power” promoting the fairy tale “Land of Frozen”. The video became a hit on the web, and the girl gained popularity among Internet users. After arriving in Poland, Amelia got a chance to stand on a real stage. Her performance during last year’s Wiktors is moving to this day.

During Wiktorów 2022, there were also accents expressing solidarity with Ukrainian citizens fighting in the war. An element of the outfit of each person who appeared on the stage was a bow in the colors of the Ukrainian flag.
A special invitation to the event was given to 7-year-old Amelia, whose family found shelter in Poland. The girl was asked to sing a duet from the song promoting the film “Frozen”. The performance moved not only the audience, but also the hosts. The hosts of the event, Agata Konarska and Marek Bukowski, emphasized how significant the words of the song “I have this power” are in the face of the events taking place in our neighbours. Especially since Amelia sang during the first bombing of Kiev.
A moment later, the girl’s mother also appeared on the stage, who gave Katarzyna Łaska a bouquet of flowers as a thank you. The moment was touching, and the audience gave Amelia and her mother thunderous applause.
