On the night of April 8, employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Russian Guard and the Investigative Committee raided bars in the center of St. Petersburg, the city Investigative Committee of the RF IC reports. According to the department, investigative actions took place in 13 bars on Lomonosov Street “in order to find and seize items and documents of interest to the investigation.”
According to the city media, the raid affected the bars “Central Station”, Nebar, “Escobar”, El Chapo, “Disco club Lomonosov”, Rhino Bar and others. The Led club was also checked, which was sealed during the previous raid at the end of March: the door to the club was opened by a grinder. In addition, the security forces entered several bars on Griboedova and Dumskaya streets.
One of the Escobar visitors told reporters that the guests’ documents were checked, and no one was allowed out of the establishment for some time.
As reported in the Investigative Committee, the investigative actions were carried out as part of a case initiated under Part 1 of Art. 151 of the Criminal Code (involving minors in the systematic use of alcoholic and alcohol-containing products). According to the agency, on February 22, an announcement appeared on the Internet that there would be a party with an age limit of 16+ in one of the bars, after which someone “purchased alcoholic and alcohol-containing products, and also sold them to an unlimited circle of minors.”
