Russia and the United States are in the hot phase of the war, as Washington supplies weapons to Kyiv. This statement was made by Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov.
According to him, the US administration threatens every time to supply Ukraine with “more and more long-range” systems.
At the same time, Lavrov stressed that relations between Moscow and Washington must be maintained. He expressed hope that the American side would resume dialogue, adding that “there is not long to wait.”
Meanwhile, it was previously reported that US intelligence is considering Russia as a serious threat in the next few years. A related report from the US Intelligence Community said that the Russian authorities have so far avoided taking actions that would expand the conflict in Ukraine beyond its borders. At the same time, according to intelligence agencies, the risk of escalation remains significant. They also added that Russia will remain a major challenge to the US in key areas over the next decade, and less predictable than China.
At the same time, as The Wall Street Journal wrote, the US authorities are currently not ready for conflicts with the “great powers”, in particular, with Russia and China.
