Two people were killed, three more were injured in a collision of two cars on a highway in the Sverdlovsk region, the press service of the regional traffic police department reports.
According to the department, the incident occurred on the Nevyansk-Rezh-Artemovsky-Kilachevskoye highway. The driver of the Daewoo Nexia car lost control and drove into the oncoming lane, where he collided with a Hyundai Solaris taxi car.
As a result of the accident, the driver and three passengers of the Daewoo, as well as the driver of the Hyundai, were hospitalized with various injuries. The driver and passenger of the Daewoo later died in intensive care. One of the victims is connected to a ventilator, he has a severe brain contusion and a depressed fracture of the parietal-temporal region, the doctors are preparing to deliver him by medical aviation to City Clinical Hospital No. 36 in Yekaterinburg.
According to the press service of the regional Ministry of Health, there were no passengers in the taxi car, the taxi driver was assisted on the spot.
