Kidnapping of two young men in Manta is associated with a gang dispute. He is linked to alias Fito, leader of the Choneros

Police maintain secrecy about this case.

The kidnapping of two young people on the night of this Wednesday the 17th in the Los Gavilanes neighborhood, a peripheral sector located in the southwest of Manta, is related to a gang affair.

Although officially the Police handle secrecy in this case, sources who know about the issue have confirmed that one of the hostages is the daughter of alias Fito, leader of the Choneros, who is in prison in Guayaquil. In Manta that version is also handled.

The two citizens, who are Cosmetology students, were outside a beauty treatment center when they were intercepted by subjects.

The event was recorded around 7:30 p.m. this Wednesday. The two women left that place, where they were receiving beauty treatment classes.

Minutes later, a vehicle was burned on the San Mateo-Santa Marianita highway, in the rural area of Manta, about seven kilometers from where the kidnapping occurred.

They identify 49 of 62 bodies of inmates murdered in the Litoral Penitentiary

One of the kidnapped girls would be a former queen from a Manta entity.

It is unofficially known that a subject identified as alias Fito, held in Regional Prison 8, called an agent of the Unase to request that his daughter be located.

La Roca Prison would be occupied by 100 inmates while inmates continue to leave the Penitentiary

The alert of the kidnapping of two young people caused alarm in Manta, especially among the residents of the Los Gavilanes citadel.

The Infobae portal, based on a police source, published that the kidnapping would be part of a revenge, not only because of what happened in the Litoral Penitentiary – where the pavilions run by alias Fito and alias JR attacked the pavilion of an opposing gang – But because two weeks ago both leaders ordered the assassination of the daughter of alias “El Sargento”, commander of the Lobos and second in command.

Fito and JR control part of the 12 pavilions of the Litoral Penitentiary, the center of the last massacre that left 62 dead and 44 wounded.

Police officers carried out several operations in the city to locate the two women and their captors.

Defense Minister Luis Hernández replied that he does not know about these issues, as they are handled by the Police.

Until 1:00 p.m. this Thursday, the Police did not issue any statement or version regarding the kidnapping of two young people.

Reports of kidnapping were frequent in Manta between 2006 and 2008, even this led to people hiring private security guards to protect their families. (I)
