Richard Karolis, commander of the Carchi Police Subzone, reported that the automobiles stolen in the neighboring country were registered in the national territory fraudulently, especially in the province of Manabí, and then marketed.

This is the third delivery made by Ecuador to Colombia.

The studies and analysis carried out by Criminalistics determined that they are of Colombian origin. The police authorities during the delivery made several recommendations to the buyers so that they do not get scammed and have to return the cars losing the money invested.

“You have to know who you buy the vehicle from, where and how they entered, and if the documentation is the original and is registered with the National Transit Agency,” said Karolys, who added that the inquiries indicate that they were sold at the market price. Ecuadorian.

One of the clues that led to the discovery that they were stolen was that the series and other identifiers did not correspond to those that appear in the files of the national concessionaires.

According to official and verified information, a total of 46 automobiles have been delivered to Colombia by the Ecuadorian Police, thus complying with the agreements that the two countries maintain. (I)
