The accident involving two trucks and one car occurred in the Kalininsky district of the Krasnodar Territory. According to TASS with reference to the UGIBDD of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for the Krasnodar Territory, two women died, a four-year-old child was injured.
“The driver, driving a Mercedes-Benz cargo vehicle, moving in the direction of the village of Poltavskaya, did not choose a safe speed and a safe distance and collided with a VAZ-2107 moving in the same direction, driven by a 37-year-old woman who was making a left turn maneuver. From the impact, the VAZ-2107 car ended up in the oncoming traffic lane, where there was a head-on collision with an Iveco truck moving in the opposite direction, ”the ministry said in a statement.
Before the ambulance arrived, a woman driver and her passenger died, outpatient treatment was prescribed for a four-year-old child who was in a child car seat at the time of the accident.
“During the preliminary clarification of the causes and circumstances of the accident, it was established that the Iveco driver did not have the category of driving this vehicle. An investigation is underway, ”added the regional traffic police.
